De Londen Travelcard voor het openbaar vervoer in Londen Met de Travelcard reis je dus onbeperkt met het openbaar vervoer in Londen. Dit betekent dat je met de bus, tram en metro mag reizen. Ook de Docklands Light Railway is aangesloten bij deze kaart. Je bepaalt vooraf voor hoeveel dagen je de kaart wilt hebben. Je hebt keuze uit 1 tot 7 dagen.

In Nederland kennen wij de OV kaart, en openbaar vervoer Londen kent eenzelfde systeem: de Oyster Card. Dit is een blauwe chipkaart die eigenlijk exact hetzelfde werkt als de ov-chipkaart. Je laad hem op bij machines en tapt vervolgens in en uit bij poortjes. Ook toeristen kunnen gebruik maken van deze OV chipkaart, iets wat niet veel mensen weten.

Daarom kan je ook kiezen voor een London Travelcard of de Oyster Card. Beide kaarten zijn op den duur een goedkopere keuze. Ben je daarom in Londen voor een 2-daagse stedentrip of langer, dan raden wij je een ov-kaart aan. Deze kan je bestellen via VisitBritain. Met het gebruik van een London Travelcard of Oyster Card bespaar je jezelf veel tijd.
